The Write Place
Help to “publish” children’s stories. Jobs include word processing stories (can be done at home), making book covers and binding books.

Book Fairs
Set up fair, take down fair, and help with register. There is a winter fair in late January and a spring fair in March/April.

Fourth Grade Pasta Dinner
Fundraiser for 4th grade students. The dinner typically occurs in late January/early February. Fourth grade parents who are interested in helping should contact the 4th grade parent coordinator: Sia Panichas.

School Dance
The school-wide dance is scheduled for March 13. Help is needed with invitations, favors, or the night of the event.

Organize a grade level event such as:
3rd Grade Bowling Party
4th grade ice skating party.
If you’re interested in organizing a grade event, please contact your grade coordinator.

Yearbook
People are needed to take photos, track down photos from particular events, and help with layout.

Oversee Sales of HBS Apparel
Maintain the supply of items (HBS t-shirts, sweatshirts, teddy bears, etc.), update order forms and webpage, collect order forms, deposit money, distribute items, oversee display case at the front of the school.

Auction
This is the largest school fundraiser of the year. There are multiple ways to help – large and small – solicit items, help advertise and promote the event, work on invitations and the program, help the night of the event, and more.

Field Day
This year-end event for grades 3, 4, and 5 is organized by Mr. Janaway, but requires parent volunteers. If you are interested in helping with the games or the after-party, please contact Amy Bach DiLello.

This year-end event for the younger grades is organized by Mr. Janaway but requires parent volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please contact Amy Bach DiLello.

Health and Wellness Initiatives
The Health and Wellness Committee promotes physical activity and healthy eating among our students, staff, and families through various projects ranging from school gardens to a school-wide nutrition and physical activity assessment. Those who have ideas or who would like to get involved, please contact Erin Dugan.

Healthy Henry
A newsletter distributed throughout the school to encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits. If you would like to write an article for the newsletter, share pictures of kids doing healthy things, or help with the publication of the newsletter, please contact Erin Dugan.
