Undergraduate programs

• If you want to be a certified teacher in Rhode Island, the most common and practical option is to pursue the double major in Health Education and Physical Education. Both can be obtained in five years.
• You may also pursue a single major in Health Education or Physical Education. You can be a certified teacher in other states, but not in RI.
• There is a non-certification major in Health Education with a concentration in Community Health. The major offer you a variety of health education related careers outside of public schools.
