The Alumni Association, the Office of Continuing Education and the American Democracy Project at Rhode Island College are collaborating to create continuing education workshops, a program series, and opportunities for alumni to work with our students. This intergenerational project is designed to encourage life-long learning opportunities and to harness the energy and talents of “The Greatest Generation” and “Baby Boomers” in meaningful community engagement. We would love to hear your ideas. Join us for lunch and discussion.

Behind the Scenes of “Family Guy” with Mike Henry, Supervising producer and voice actor of Cleveland, Herbert the Old Man, and other characters

Students: Pick up your one FREE ticket at the Student Union Welcome & Information Center. Only students with tickets are guaranteed admission. All students who pickup tickets prior to September 26 will be entered into a drawing to win FREE dinner with Mike Henry!

Alumni: Reserve your one FREE ticket by responding to the Homecoming mailing or online.

Tickets will be available for pickup at the event. Additional tickets can be bought for $10 at the Welcome & Information Center or the RIC Box Office in Roberts Hall.

RIC Chorus and Wind Ensemble Family Concert

RIC Chorus and Wind Ensemble Family Concert under the direction of Teresa Coffman and Rob Franzblau, assistant professors of music, theatre, and dance. More than 60 students will perform a “Family Concert” for audiences of all ages; interactive, entertaining with lots of variety.

WHAT CHEER? BRIGADE

1:30 p.m. - Quad
The WHAT CHEER? BRIGADE is a rowdy misfit 19-piece roving brass band from Providence, RI. Mobile party with a taste of Bollywood, the Balkans, New Orleans, Samba, and Hip Hop. With no singer and zero amplification, some call the band’s sound Luddite Hardcore—proof that loud music doesn’t need electricity. The Brigade defies categorization, appealing equally to punks and farmers, old and young.
