■ FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

Art - History.   Search CLOSED Teach undergraduate courses in the Renaissance, Baroque and Ancient traditions (painting, sculpture and architecture); teach a survey of early Western art.  Requirements include:  Ph.D. in Art History with specialization in Renaissance or Baroque.  The candidate will teach a course on Renaissance Art that surveys developments in painting, sculpture and architecture in major European centers, and a course on Baroque that surveys seventeenth-century European art, with an emphasis on Italian art.  Application package must also include a sample course syllabus and representative publication.   Normal starting salary range is: $50,000 - $53,000. Except where otherwise noted, the doctoral or other appropriate terminal degree is required for all tenure-track appointments and must be completed prior to the beginning of service; the major field of graduate work must be that for which the candidate is to be assigned a majority of her/his teaching time.
