Vice
President, College Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation
Rhode Island College
Established in 1854, Rhode Island College is a

Rhode
Island College invites applications for the position of Vice President,
College Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation. The Vice
President will provide leadership to and management of the Office of
Advancement, the Office of Alumni Affairs, and the College Foundation.
The
College seeks a high-energy leader with a proven record of success as a
senior development professional. The ideal candidate will bring experience
in fundraising and a strong sense of integrity to the position. He/she will
be an experienced advancement leader, having
experience building successful teams and operations in one or more of the
following areas: gift cultivation and solicitation, alumni relations, and
facilitating the work of the foundation.
Reporting to President Nancy Carriuolo, and serving as a member of the
President’s Executive Cabinet, this VP will be a key leader on campus and
will be highly visible with foundation board members, alumni leaders,
faculty, staff, students, friends, including leaders of the business, labor,
legislative and philanthropic communities to increase the engagement of the
internal and external communities behind the mission to increase the culture
of philanthropy and service within Rhode Island College.
Requirements include:
Master's degree from an accredited institution. A minimum of five years of
senior development experience in a non-profit environment; demonstrated
experience as a major and principal gift fundraiser; experience building
successful teams of skilled fundraisers.
Preferred requirements include:
Development experience in higher education.
