On Wednesday, September 9th, Nancy Carriuolo, the ninth president of Rhode Island College, is sponsoring an evening celebration of the President's Illuminated Walkway on the Rhode Island College campus. This event is being held in conjunction with “Show Your RIC Pride! Show Your Colors!" day.

8:30 pm
Music (DJ from WXIN) in front of the Murray Center .
Free hot dogs, drinks, and ice cream for students who wear school colors or their 9/9/09 shirt.

9:00 pm
Dedication of the new Illuminated Walkway with President Carriuolo.
Demonstration test of one of the units.
Raffle of $100 book award from proceeds of t-shirt sales.
A stroll along the Illuminated Walkway with the President.

The event is free and open to Rhode Island College supporters, students, faculty, staff and the entire college community.

All who attend are asked to wear RIC's colors (gold, white, and burgundy) in support of College Colors Day and to bring their walking shoes!

The President’s Illuminated Walkway is designed to be a secure, pedestrian-friendly cross-campus route that extends from the residence halls on the western side of the campus to the School of Social work on the east campus. The outdoor corridor extends just over one mile in length.
