The Certificate in International Non-Governmental Organizations Studies (INGOS) consists of a minimum of 19 credit hours (six courses), as listed below, and students must demonstrate language proficiency in French, Portuguese or Spanish.

NOTE: Language proficiency in French, Portuguese or Spanish will be determined by the RIC Department of Modern Languages, using ACTFL guidelines. With respect to language proficiency evaluation in Portuguese, it should be noted that RIC has recently been chosen - because of the heritage speaker demography of the campus and community - to be the only US official testing site of the CAPLE [Centro de Avaliação de Portugués Lingua Estrangeira] for CAPLE is a member of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE - using the European Union Framework for language proficiency evaluation).
