Martin Luther King Day of Service
A day on, not a day off
January 21, 2019
8:00AM – 1:00PM
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most prominent figures in the American Civils Rights Movement. His leadership through nonviolent efforts mobilized the nation to help make tangible progress for Black Americans. Colleges across the country take this day to honor Dr. King’s legacy by giving back to their local communities. Rhode Island College students, faculty, and staff are invited to join this movement by serving at one of a number of sites in the greater Providence area.
