Kelly Conlon
Background
Kelly Conlon is an adjunct faculty member at Rhode Island College, where she is an instructor of Methods and Materials in Music Education. She received her B.S. in Music Education from Rhode Island College. Her principle instruments are flute and piccolo, and she continues to perform in various venues throughout the New England area. Mrs. Conlon began her teaching career in Smithfield, RI, where she spent 5 years teaching elementary general music, chorus and band. She currently teaches music in Lincoln, RI, where she is an instructor of early childhood music, elementary music, recorder, band and chorus. Last year, Mrs. Conlon was chosen as 1 of just 20 music teachers in the country to have her music lesson plans published in a series of books by Hal Leonard Corporation. Currently, she is collaboring with music educators from across the nation to contribute to a new series of music education resource books, due to arrive in stores in 2009. In addition to teaching at Rhode Island College and in Lincoln Public Schools, Kelly serves as a private instrument and dance instructor.
