Rhode Island College is so excited to welcome all of our #NewAnchors and their family members to the RIC Community during Welcome Weekend! From the Student Success Welcome, to unique workshops, socials with student organizations & faculty, service projects and more, Welcome Weekend is filled with experiences that will help get you and your family members ready for the start of your first semester at RIC.
WELCOME DAY - Join us on Saturday, August 24th
On Welcome Day all of our students will have the opportunity to explore the RIC campus,. When you check in, you will receive your Welcome Week information packet. Family members are encouraged to join their students.
Commuter student parking will be available in front of Roberts Hall in Lot D.
10 am - Welcome Stories
Join the leadership of Student Success and the 2019 Peer Mentors as they welcome the newest members for the RIC community. All new students and their families are encouraged to attend this program, as it marks the official start to the year at Rhode Island College.
The ceremony will take place in the Auditorium at Roberts Hall and begin at 10 am on Saturday, August 24th.

Move-in times are based on last names – please arrive during your scheduled time-frame:
A-L 9 am-12 pm
M-Z 1 pm-4 pm

Don’t worry, we have programming throughout the weekend and through the first weeks of classes for all of our #NewAnchors. We have days set up for you to get acclimated to our campus, meet other new members of our community, learn from the experts about how to be successful in college, and even give back to our community. You’ll get a full schedule for Welcome Week when you check in on Welcome Day.
