PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island College junior pitcher Mike Webb (Pawtucket, RI), senior first baseman Tyler Walsh (Cumberland, RI) and junior second baseman Nate Vigeant (Coventry, RI) were named All-Little East for their respective performances in baseball during the spring 2019 season.

Webb was named a First Team All-Little East as a pitcher. He appeared in 11 games, starting all of them. The team MVP posted a 6-0 record with a 2.72 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 76.1 innings pitched. On the year, he recorded a 5-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio and held opponents to just a .195 batting average. He led the LEC in strikeouts, was second in both shutouts (1) and innings pitched, was fourth in wins and sixth in complete games (1). ​

Walsh was named Second Team All-Little East as a first baseman for the second straight season. He played in 42 games, starting all of them. Walsh batted .319 (52-for-163) with 39 runs scored, 52 hits, 16 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 35 RBI. He owned a .546 slugging percentage, a .404 on-base percentage and a .985 fielding percentage. Walsh's five home runs were seventh-most in the LEC, while his 16 doubles ranked him second in the conference. He also ranked sixth in both RBI and total bases (89)

Nate Vigeant​

Vigeant was named Second Team All-Little East as a second baseman. He played in 42 games, starting all of them. Vigeant batted .374 (64-for-171) with 47 runs scored, 64 hits, 13 doubles, one triple and two home runs. He registered a .447 on-base percentage, a .497 slugging percentage and a .969 fielding percentage. He ranked second in the Little East in hits, runs scored and plate appearances (200). Vigeant was fourth in the league in at-bats (171) and seventh in doubles. 

First-year Head Coach Frank Holbrook's team finished the 2018 season with a 26-16 overall record and a 9-7 (third place) finish in the Little East. The Anchormen tied the program record for wins in a season.
