2011 Diversity is a Way of L.I.F.E. conference, March 2
The RIC student organization L.I.F.E. (Live, Inspire, Fight, Educate) will present Diversity is a Way of L.I.F.E, a statewide conference that brings together educators, students, artist and community-based activists to build a movement to develop and promote dialogue and diversity as a mode of social existence.
The conference will be held on Wednesday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the RIC Student Union.
The conference offers a safe forum for groups to learn from and teach each other by sharing knowledge, experience and strategies. It supports the use of dialogue as a tool for building bridges and fostering an equitable community. Participants will gain an opportunity to engage in dialogue, generate awareness of the issues and foster enthusiasm for addressing them, while providing a model that can be adapted for individual campus dialogue opportunities.
