RIC students receive recognition for their work in ‘Almost Maine’

The candidates will now select a partner and prepare two scenes and one monologue for the Region I Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival competition in Fitchburg, Mass., in January 2012.
Students who win the Irene Ryan Scholarship Award will then move to the national competition in Washington, D.C., in April 2012.
Jamie Taylor, RIC theatre professor and director of “Almost Maine,” said that Brejcha and Martins were “dedicated in their roles and wonderful to work with. I’m sure they’re going to make Rhode Island College and the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance very proud.”
Other RIC students garnering recognition were Rachael Perry (1st Alternate) and Sarah T.B. Pierce (2nd Alternate). Honors were awarded to Polly Feliciano (Stage Management), Alicia Colantonio (Student lighting Designer) and Stephanie Harrop (Student Make-Up Designer).
