90.7 WXIN to hold concert to benefit breast cancer research, Dec. 1

RIC's student-run radio station, 90.7 WXIN, continues its 2011-12 Community Service Initiative by hosting “Music for Mammaries," a benefit concert to support breast cancer research on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. at The Spot Underground at 15 Elbow St. in Providence.

Each cover charge will be divided and donated to the American Cancer Society and The Gloria Gemma Foundation.

New England artists that will be performing are Versetyle and Smoove, Jahmal Brown, DelRosa, Northeast Traffic, Jade Alston, Who Dem?, Ms. Marjorie, Dirty Durdie and Reziztanze. Music will be provided by DJ Therion.

Local businesses that are sponsoring the event include Balls Sports Bar & Grille, Big Tony’s Pizza, Blue Beaver Deli, Betty’s Restaurant, Chalkstone Cuts, L & M Laundry and Sinful Ink.
