Rhode Island College freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, R.I.) was named the Little East Conference Rookie Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College on Saturday, April 20.

Wosencroft took first place in the long jump (4.95m), while finishing third in the triple jump (10.36m), fourth in the 400m hurdles (1:10.71), sixth in the 100m (13.67) and seventh in the 200m (27.51). She also picked up a pair of first-place finishes as part of the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s Anchormen won the invitational, placing first among a field of 12 teams. RIC posted a team score of 124.0 and took first place in seven different events.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Bridgewater State University, on Saturday, April 27 (10 a.m.).
