Academic Development Center

The Academic Development Center provides instruction to all Rhode Island College students interested in becoming more effective learners. The Center's services include tutorial help in reading comprehension, note taking, time management, content tutoring, and test taking. Students with disabilities are welcome to use our services as they work towards refining successful study skills. Specialized preparation is available for the following tests: Pre-Professional Skills Test, PPST (required for students entering the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development); Principles of Learning and Teaching test, PLT (required for State of Rhode Island teacher certification); and National Council for Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, NCLEX-RN. The Center also provides help for both the beginning and the advanced ESL student.
