I am delighted to welcome you to the web site of Rhode Island College, the state’s comprehensive public institution of higher education. Since its establishment in 1854, Rhode Island College has maintained the highest standards in its academic programs and has provided higher education opportunities for generations of students. Located on a 180-acre park-like campus in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence, the College provides ready access to the resources and benefits of the the state’s capital city while offering the advantages of a self-contained, suburban campus.

The College enrolls approximately 9,000 students in a wide spectrum of academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ours is a rich and diverse learning community that emphasizes quality teaching. Rhode Island College is especially proud of its dedicated faculty and staff, exceptional opportunities for service and research, access to the latest informational and learning technology, rich athletic tradition, and vibrant campus life that has received particular acclaim for its offerings in the performing and fine arts.
