Orientation Times

All new freshmen are required to attend one of eight orientation cycles. In early June you will receive an official invitation to Orientation 2009. At that time you will be asked to choose three cycles in order of preference. All cycles will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We will send you a confirmation with the date and time of your orientation cycle.

Orientation check-in for cycles 1, 4 and 7 begins at 8:00 am on the first day of each cycle and ends at 4:00 pm on day two. These are overnight cycles and you must stay on campus until the end of your cycle (4:00 pm on day two). Cycles 2, 3, 5, 6, & 8 are each one-day cycles. These cycles begin at 8:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm.

If you live a long distance from the College and will not be able to arrive at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of your overnight cycle, please notify us at least two weeks prior to the beginning of your cycle. We will arrange for you to check into the residence hall the night before. While no formal programming will take place on this evening, you will be able to meet with Orientation leaders. Please be advised that this option is only available for students choosing an overnight (two-day) cycle.
