The Pamental Family, et al

Jason || Matthew || Lisa || Laurie || Kim || Marie

Here's Laurie and Marie, sons and 'domestic partners' --

Matthew & Lisa and Jason & Kim -- and our

wonderful sushi boat to help bring

in the New Year, 2000

Matthew and Lisa are doctoral candidates at the University

of Indiana in Bloomington, where they live with their dog,

Sophie, a Golden Retriever / German Shepherd mix

and their two kittens.

Jason and Kim live in Providence with their two

malamutes, Sandy and Kobuck, and Gina,

a lovable mongrel. Kim's horse, Stormy,

is stabled in Rehobeth. Kim is an

administrator at a half-way house, and

she occasionally practices her martial

arts skills on us to keep in shape for

dealing with the more 'active' residents.

Jason is a graphic and web-site designer.

My sister Naomi lives in Arizona. We try to get out there often to go to the Grand Canyon and other wonderful spots.

Marie's brother Karl is retired and lives on the Eastern shore of Maryland, in Chestertown, where he likes to fish, when he isn't playing bluegrass guitar . . .

Karl used to be married to Barbara, and they had one son, Kevin, here playing scrabble with Marie and his Mom. Barbara's nationally known in higher education, and lives in San Jose. Kevin is a writer in San Francisco where he lives with Jenny.

Can two retired nuclear physicists
find happiness in an 85' long log cabin
overlooking their 70 acre spread in the
mountains of Virginia? . . . Absolutely!
Marie's sister Joan lives with her husband
Walter in Natural Bridge, where they grow
flowers and vegetables and entertain
all who wish to come.

Joan and Walter's daughter
Alice, and her husband Dan,
live in Maryland
with their two children . . .

Marie's other sister,
Louise, lives in
Amherst, Mass. They
get together regularly
to play cello duets
and cello/recorder
and piano/cello. . .
They also talk a lot
and go to flea markets.

There are two other people

who played major roles in all of our lives,

and are still in our hearts.

Marie's mom, Ethel Gottesman, Grandma,

who died many years ago,

and Aron Pressman, Louise's husband,

who died a few years ago.

As families go, this is a pretty good one.

We all like each other and are very supportive.

Holidays can be hectic with so many people, and

such long distances to travel, but we manage to have some fun . . .
