The Muir String Quartet

This breathtaking dance troupe, founded by choreographer Amalia Hernández, highlights the beauty of the universe in motion through Mexican dances from the pre-Columbian era, the Hispanic Viceroy period and the popular period of the Revolutionary years.

First Prize winner of the prestigious 2010 Naumburg International Piano Competition, Soyeon Kate Lee has been hailed by The New York Times as a pianist with "a huge, richly varied sound, a lively imagination and a firm sense of style." Program to be announced.

This season The Muir will perform the fi nal three concerts in the six-concert presentation of the complete Beethoven String Quartet Cycle. This concert will include String Quartet in F minor, Op. 95, String Quartet in B-fl at Major, Op. 18, No. 6 and String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132.

Trisha Brown Dance Company

The fifth concert in the complete Beethoven String Quartet Cycle will include String Quartet in A Major, Op. 18, No. 5 and String Quartet in B-fl at Major, Op. 130 (without the Grosse Fuge). This concert will be performed without an intermission.

Complexions Contemporary Ballet

The sixth and final concert in the complete Beethoven String Quartet Cycle will include String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18, No. 4, String Quartet in F Major, Op. 135 and String Quartet in E minor, Op. 59, No. 2.

From her first recordings for Kapp Records, and her highly acclaimed Carnegie Hall recital debut as an artist on the Sol Hurok roster, Ann Schein's amazing career has earned her high praise in major American and European cities and in more than 50 countries around the world. Founders Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden, along with their New York City-based company of dance thoroughbreds awaken audiences to a new, exciting genre that combines the best of athleticism, lyricism, and technical training and experience.
