representative to CUR, and participate fully in CUR activities.

Identify mechanisms and systems for recognizing and supporting faculty
scholarship, creative endeavors, and public service.

recognizing and supporting the outstanding achievement of faculty and staff
- Strategic Action 2.2.2 - Institute an annual faculty research and
creativity day celebration that highlights faculty achievements

Objectives 2.3
Expand funded applied research and public service activities/programs
offered by the College's schools/faculties and existing research/service centers.

- Strategic Action 2.3.1 - Develop and implement a plan for
expanding funded collaborations between College faculty and P-12
schools and school teachers, with special emphasis on activities
that support improved P-12 student success.
- Strategic Action 2.3.2 - Develop and implement a plan for
expanding workforce development initiatives offered by the School
of Management and Technology Outreach Programs.
- Strategic Action 2.3.3 - Develop and implement a plan for
expanding funded programs in the School of Social Work, especially
through systematic expansion of initiatives offered through the
Child Welfare Institute, the Poverty Institute, and the Case
Management Institute.
- Strategic Action 2.3.4 - Develop and implement a plan for
expansion of research/services offered by the Paul V. Sherlock
Center on Disabilities.
- Strategic Action 2.3.5 - Develop and implement a plan for expansion
of research/services offered by the Rhode Island Technical
Assistance Project.
- Strategic Action 2.3.6 - Develop and implement a plan for expansion
of research/services offered by the Center for Public Policy.

Objectives 2.4
Expand continuing education opportunities (credit and non-credit,
degree and non-degree, personally- and professionally-oriented)
to meet better the needs of the State's citizens.

and non-credit continuing education offerings, and faculty/school-based
program growth targets for a three-year period.
