This year's Promising Practices Conference at Rhode Island College will bring together a diverse audience in two disciplines, public health and social work, to offer best practices that build partnerships along with improving health outcomes and human rights.

  • This transformation will allow for identification of intervention priorities, treatments, and modalities that build health literacy and support marginalized groups.
  • The conference will showcase current public health and social work efforts including collaborative partnerships, innovative approaches, and policy development in Rhode Island and neighboring states.

Applications Due: 9-8-15

We encourage and welcome applications from:

  • Rhode Island College faculty from health related programs of study, including Social Work, Community Health and Wellness, Health Care Administration, Nursing, along with other related disciplines on campus to workshop proposals.
  • Community-based organizations in social work and public health related fields and faculty from other institutions to submit workshop proposals.

Keynote Speaker – The Co-Chairs are in discussion with the keynote speaker.
