Attention - All undergraduate students:

A new academic advising plan is now in effect. You must meet with your advisor before registering for courses.

NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS

If you are a returning student who has been accepted by the College as a degree candidate, you MUST consult with your academic advisor PRIOR to your registering for summer and fall courses.   If you are a new incoming freshmen, transfer, readmit or second degree for the fall 2008 you will be invited to various Orientation Programs where you will be advised and registered for your courses. RIConnect will block your ability to register until you meet with your academic advisor. Your academic advisor will remove this block only after discussing your schedule with you. Why are we doing this? We want to help you develop a focused plan of study and a logical pathway toward timely graduation. Successful students tell us that advising has a positive impact on their academic success.

Consult with your assigned advisor to ensure course selection suitability. You will find the name of your advisor on your own Details page in RIConnect. If you do not have an advisor, contact the chair of your department. If you have not declared a major or if you intend to major in Elementary or Early Childhood Education but have not been accepted as of yet, please contact the Office of Academic Support and Information Services (OASIS) at 456-8083.

If you intend to major in Art Education, Chemical Dependency and Addiction Studies (CDAS), Health and Physical Education, Music Education, Nursing, Secondary Education or Social Work please contact the department of your intended major for academic advising.

Remember: you will not be able to register for summer or fall 2008 classes without first meeting with an academic advisor.

Proceed to RIConnect.
