A member of the professional staff at Rhode Island College since 1981, your dedication to your work and attention to every detail have helped to ensure that hundreds of events at the College have proceeded smoothly to a successful conclusion. On snowy nights, you have helped to make sure the roads and pathways around campus are clear. As new buildings are completed, you have assisted in planning the moves so as to ensure as little interruption as possible of important College activities. When Commencement 2000 was forced indoors due to inclement weather, you nervously counted the chairs to ensure that every last graduate had a seat. Even with your heavy work load, you have continued your education, earning a bachelor's degree in sociology from the College in 1999. You were honored that year with the Lauris B. Whitman Award at the Cap and Gown Day ceremony. You completed the Leadership Rhode Island program in 2000, and went on to receive your master's degree in public administration this past May. You have been a faithful volunteer for numerous events on campus, including service on the Homecoming Committee. Even during difficult times, you have cheerfully taken on special projects and new challenges. You are an asset to the College community, and we are proud to call you a colleague and fellow member of the Professional Staff Association at Rhode Island College. Congratulations!
