Current Students
Attention - Undergraduate students:
The mandatory advising system is now in effect. You must meet with your advisor before registering for courses.
Registration Process:
Advising is mandatory for all returning undergraduate degree candidates at Rhode Island College. Please consult your advisor prior to registering for the summer and fall 2009 semesters so that the Universal Advising Block may be removed. Why are we doing this? We want to help you develop a focused plan of study and a logical pathway toward timely graduation. Successful students tell us that advising has a positive impact on their academic success. Registration begins on Monday, March 30th and is staggered based on an enrollment appointment. Please see your RIConnect account for your specific date and time to register on line. All newly accepted and enrolled degree candidates will be advised and registered at their respective Orientation Program.
Please consult with your assigned advisor to ensure course selection suitability. You will find the name of your advisor on your own “Details” page in RIConnect. If you do not have an advisor, contact the chair of your department. If you have not declared a major or if you intend to major in Elementary or Early Childhood Education but have not been accepted as of yet, please contact the Office of Academic Support and Information Services (OASIS) at 456-8083.
If you intend to major in Art Education, Chemical Dependency and Addiction Studies (CDAS), Health and Physical Education, Music Education, Nursing, Secondary Education or Social Work please contact the department of your intended major for academic advising.
Remember: you will not be able to register for summer or fall 2009 classes without first meeting with an academic advisor.
When to Register
The registration system is available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
