These cookies are from my elementary school in Portsmouth, RI of the USA. When my mother and uncle were attending the same school, these cookies were a favorite of my uncle, so he asked the cook “Granny” for the recipe. They are so easy; you don’t even have to bake them! Everyone who tries these loves them.
Ingredients:
2 cups of sugar
3 tbsp of cocoa
˝ cup of milk
˝ cup of butter.
Instructions:
Cook on top of the stove for one minute. Add:
˝ cup peanut butter
3 cups rolled oats
1 tsp of vanilla
Mix well and drop on wax paper. Let stand until cool. Makes 25 cookies.
