Social and Emotional Learning provides "Schools as Communities"
strategies that include the teaching and practice of communication, cooperation,
helping and problem-solving skills; technical assistance in Functional Behavioral
Assessment and Positive Behavioral Supports; assistance in strategic planning
with School Improvement Teams and Teacher Support Teams to weave the social
and emotional learning strategies and behavioral supports into the daily life
of the school; integration with the statewide initiatives designed to promote
community-based care for children with intensive emotional/behavioral health
needs.

The IEP Resource
Network is designed to assist families, students, and school personnel in developing
individualized programs for students with disabilities that meet the same high
standards established for all students. The initiative strives to increase access
to the general curriculum for students with disabilities, to ensure the participation
of students with disabilities in accountability and assessment efforts, and
to provide technical assistance on IEP development. Our ultimate goal is to
have at least one teacher and one parent in every school building in our state
as a resource network member.

regarding the reintegration of students with brain injury; assistance to school
staff and parents in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for
students; training and resource library information in the identification and
