Summer 2009 Programs

The Summer 2009 programs have come to a close. This year we had 40 teachers across RI partitipate in our summer programs. We also had 85 students from all over RI participate in the Young Writers Camp.

The Rhode Island Writing Project's Summer programs include the Invitational Summer Institute, the Planning for Change Institute, the Literature Institute for Teachers, the Summer Institutes for Young Writers and Reading and Writing in the Content Areas. Read more

Literacy Leadership Workshop

Following the design of the National Writing Project's summer institutes, the Literacy Leadership Workshop will foster a community of inquiry to support the "teachers teaching teachers" model and maximize opportunities for collaboration. Read more

Early Career Program

Designed for teachers in their first three years of service, this course considers the needs of classroom teachers, and provides the opportunity to share issues, concerns, and successful teaching practices that enhance student literacy. Read more

Presenters Collaborative Network

The PCN is a network of teacher consultants who are interested in developing best practice presentations and presenters' skills. Read more
