Professional Development

The Rhode Island Writing Project offers a variety of Professional Development programs for teachers in grades K-16. Our workshops are standards-based, but they focus on curriculum and pedagogy: how to get from here to there. We have over 30 teacher consultants from schools all over the state who work with all grade levels. Our experience has told us that professional development efforts depend on collaboration between school personnel and outside presenters.
