Assistive Technology
The 360 Local Supportive Parenting Project, a project of the Paul V. Sherlock Center on
Disabilities, supports the parenting efforts of parents with learning challenges.
Participating parents have the support of a Family Support Coordinator, a parent who
is knowledgeable about adults with disabilities and who will help parents to be more
independent.
The 360 Local Supportive Parenting Project is funded by a grant from the
Administration on Developmental Disabilities,
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Strengthening individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and their
communities.
What We Do:
- We provide community-based support/training to help individuals with disabilities and/or their
families make self-directed choices about their life activities.
- We help individuals with disabilities and/or their family members to be leaders and resources
for other individuals and families.
- We help parents to effectively participate in planning meeting and to effectively communicate their family’s needs as they
advocate for themselves and their family.
- We help provider organizations, community organizations and government agencies to access educational/training materials about parenting wit cognitive limitations.

- Personal futures Planning
- Educational support
- Employment support
- Self advocacy and self-determination skill building
- Community connection opportunities and strategies
Eligibility:
To participate in the project, a parent must be:
- currently involved in CASSP;
- self identified as having learning, cognitive and parenting challenges; and
- currently raising a child or children.
