ASD: Characteristics, Conversations, and Strategies

The Sherlock Center, in partnership with The Autism Project, is sponsoring the following training sessions for Early Intervention professionals in Rhode Island. Participants may attend one or more sessions. space is limited, so pre-registration is required. There is no cost to attend.

Session 1: Friday, March 29, 2019 (12:00 - 3:00 PM)

Participants will learn how to:
  • Identify atypical development as it relates to ASD
  • Have conversations with families regarding atypical development
  • Understand criteria used in the diagnostic process
  • Parents will discuss unique aspects of their children with ASD and the impact on the family
Session 2: Friday, April 12, 2019 (12:00 - 3:00 PM)

Learn strategies and make materials to share with families to address unique learning characteristics of children with ASD.

Register Online

Registration is targeted to staff working in Early Intervention Centers in Rhode Island. Others may attend as space permits. Use the online link to register for your session/s of choice. There is no fee to attend. A confirmation and parking pass will be issued upon registering.
