The Sherlock Center is the home for a project that prepares pre-service candidates in several disciplines (Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, Psychology) to support children with low incidence disabilities.
Participants complete eight core practicum experiences as an interdisciplinary cohort, and are required to provide two years of service in Rhode Island schools upon completion of their training. This project will collaborate in the recruitment efforts and will provide tuition and stipends to candidates interested in children with low incidence disabilities.
