Services for Children with Dual Sensory Impairments: This project provides technical assistance and professional development to local schools on a variety of issues pertinent to sensory disabilities.

Assessment Accommodation Project: studies how IEP teams make recommendations about assessment accommodations and how those recommendations are implemented in the statewide assessments. This project is charged with developing a training module on assessment accommodations that will be used with the 60 target schools and other schools.

Rhode Island Transition Independence Employment Project: This project is the systems change transition project in Rhode Island. The RITIE activates ended in 2002; however, the Sherlock Center is continuing to offer a variety of trainings, transition products including several student guides, and technical assistance to secondary schools.

School-to-Career Work Based Learning Initiatives: offers training and technical assistance to secondary schools on career exploration, developing work based learning programs, and other employment and career issues.

Inclusive Curriculum Project: provides schools with training and technical assistance on developing inclusive curriculum. This project also offers a variety of products that assist schools in aligning curriculum with standards and developing modifications or alternate strategies for assisting children with disabilities to participate in the general curriculum and to achieve state standards.

Multicultural Special Education Project: This project is a collaboration between the RIDE Office of Special needs, Rhode Island College, and several urban school districts in Rhode Island. The project provides on site training to teachers currently employed in the urban districts that results in a graduate degree and full certification.

Sustainable Training Project: provides technical assistance to local schools on designing and implementing effective strategies for assisting young children and families to transition from Early Intervention to Preschool.
