Public Information Sessions
Do you receive SSI or SSDI? Would you like to work but are concerned that working could affect your benefits? If so, consider attending a Work Incentives Public Information session. These sessions are sponsored by the DHS/Office of Rehabilitation Services, Paul V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities and CPNRI. There is no cost to participate.

NOTE: These are not "how to apply for benefits" sessions. These sessions are for individuals already receiving SSI or SSDI benefits or those supporting them.

Social Security Administration offers a variety of work incentives and support services to help individuals go to work. At the information sessions, a Certified Work Incentive Benefits Counselor (CWIC) will review available Social Security work incentives for SSI and SSDI Beneficiaries.

Not sure what benefits you receive?
To determine the type of benefits you or your family member receives, you may access this information by creating a "My Social Security" account online at https://www.socialsecurity.gov. Scroll down to "Sign up for my Social Security". A new screen will appear. Read and scroll down a little further. Click on "Create an account" to start the process.
