Description: This unit is designed to help students to explore many of the issues that effect our voting decisions during a Presidential campaign. In this unit, students will:
Identify at least 3 issues being debated by candidates in the current Presidential campaign
Demonstrate an understanding of the various viewpoints on each issue and develop/clarify their own beliefs about the issues in the Presidential campaign
Analyze the candidates' stances on each issue, evaluate the candidates by comparing the candidates' beliefs/proposals to their own and choose a candidate to support for the Presidency
Advocate on behalf of the candidate of their choice in a public forum
