Nursing Resource Laboratory and Simulation Center
RI College School of Nursing Students learn to think critically by caring for complex simulated patients in a safe setting. Students are expected to complete preparation work prior to coming to the simulation. They are expected to act professionally, and adhere to safety principles at all times. Safety for patients and providers is the focus of our simulation center.
Before Entering the Sim Lab
prior to coming to the lab so you will know how to use the tablets and how to assess your simulated patients. The tablets are lightweight computers used to record patient safety data, access MD orders and look up drug information. After viewing the videos take the quiz (to be filled out, printed, brought to simulation). This is your admission ticket.
