Professional Continuing Education & Licensing
Since 1982, Continuing Education in Social Work has been committed to providing
high-quality educational experiences that assist social service practitioners
in improving their knowledge and skills. We are committed to offering workshops
that meet the current needs and interests of the social work community.
Rhode Island Social Work Licensing Requirements
Social workers who are licensed and who practice in Rhode Island are required
to complete 30 continuing education hours every two years. At least 3 hours must
be in the area of cross-cultural practice to include the alleviation of oppression.
In addition, at least 3 continuing education hours must be in the area of professional
ethics. Several of our offerings meet these requirements.
