Welcome

Welcome to the School of Management at Rhode Island College.  The college is located in the city of Providence; a city near the ocean, and rich in history and culture, It is an excellent locale in which to pursue a college education majoring in business studies. Currently there are over 1,100 students in the School with academic majors in accounting, computer information systems, economics, finance, marketing, and management.
All of the degree programs have recently been reviewed and updated with the help of an advisory board of prominent area business professionals. The School offers both undergraduate majors and a master's degree in professional accountancy (MPAc). The MPAc program has been designed to meet the five-year educational requirements for Rhode Island CPA certification. All programs address needs expressed by local financial institutions and manufacturing organizations.

The School's programs are eclectic in content, being grounded in a liberal arts education; practical in nature; with a serious emphasis on the understanding and use of technology. The School of Management develops student internship opportunities in the Greater Providence area and monitors student progress with corporate and faculty mentors. The internships provide a link between classroom activity and what takes place in the work place. To date, students have been placed in internships in over fifty leading companies.

Because of our strong academic programs and practical emphasis, School of Management graduates are highly competitive in the market place. I invite you to explore the School’s web site and view the pages listing our faculty, our undergraduate and graduate programs, and internships.
