Leave of Absence, Medical Leave of Absence or College Withdrawal
Student Withdrawal Information
A student may seek to take time away from Rhode Island College for a specified period of time (taking off no more than three consecutive semesters). This is defined as a leave of absence or under certain extenuating circumstances, a medical leave of absence. A student may also determine to officially (i.e. permanenetly) withdraw from Rhode Island College. While student experiences vary, it is important to note the potential impact that a withdrawal may have on a student such as, but not limited to: financial aid, housing, health insurance, meal plans, veteran benefits, visa status, campus services, athletic status, and/or academic implications. All students are encouraged to meet with the appropriate campus representative to determine how such changes may impact you specifically. Should you require assistance, please contact the Office of Student Life at 401-456-8061 or via email at email@example.com.
