Logging On
Students
If you are a student at RIC your login is exactly
the same as your Network/Email Account.
Student Network Account Example:
EXAMPLE :
Name: John Smith
Birthday: August 22, 2003
Student ID Number: 1234567
SSN: 000-00-1234
Your login would be :
Blackboard ID : jsmith_4567
(first initial, last name, and last four digit of your
Student ID number)
Password : aug221234
(first 3 letters of the month you're born, day of birth, and
last four digits of your SSN)
Important
- Your WebCT and Blackboard courses are located at
https://blackboard.ric.edu
The login page for blackboard and webct are the same. Your
login credentials have not changed.
- Firefox 3.03 is the preferred browser for WebCT and
Blackboard courses. All the lab computers on campus have
Firefox installed. Click
here to download Firefox to your home computer.
- If you use IE 7 or 8 (not recommended), you should
enable mixed content for the Internet Zone as documented in
http://blogs.msdn.com/askie/archive/2009/05/14/mixed-content-and-internet-explorer-8-0.aspx
or agree to accept mixed content when prompted.
- If you do not see your WebCT courses on the Courses Tab
after you log into Blackboard, please click the CE4 Tab
- Courses are listed alphabetically, then by semester. The
oldest courses appear first.
- Click the name of your WebCT course in order to enter
the familiar WebCT course environment
- If you have difficulty signing on to Blackboard/WebCT
please
visit the student toolbox for help or ask the lab
monitors in the Horace Mann Technology Center for assistance
