The Mexico Program

mexico mexico

Location

The RIC Mexico program is hosted by Outside LinkUniversal, a language institute located in Cuernavaca, a picturesque historical city in the state of Morelos, 55 miles south of Mexico City. Cuernavaca is called the “city of eternal spring” due to its average temperature of 70 degrees and abundant flowers. Rich in history and culture, Cuernavaca offers many attractions, such as the Palace of Cortés, site of one of Diego Rivera’s first murals.

Housing

In order to completely immerse students in the Spanish language and in Mexican culture the program provides housing with carefully selected Mexican families. These families have a long history with the program and are sensitive to the needs of American students, a number of whom have returned to visit their Mexican families. Normally two students are assigned to a family.
