Coordinated by Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals, and Recreation, the
daily activity program will be filled with instruction, competition and fun.
The mornings are filled with instruction and the afternoons are utilized in
putting that instruction to positive application with a series of competitive
events. In addition, the activity day is filled with swimming, films and guest
speakers.

The RIC Music Camp is a week-long, intensive musical honors camp open to vocal,
wind, and percussion students entering ninth grade through graduating seniors.
Daily rehearsals in chamber groups and large ensembles are supplemented with
classroom music offerings, master classes, and guest performances to provide a
musical experience unlike any other. Special recreational and cultural events
will be planned throughout the week.

The Department of Music, Theatre, & Dance is sponsoring the 2008 Summer Performing
Arts Camp, an acting camp that incorporates musical theatre and dance for students
in grades 6-12. The camp runs from July 14– July 31, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuition is $425 (includes a $30 non-refundable fee). Application deadline is June 15 with very limited availability.

Classes meet July 11-21, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Art Center on the Rhode
Island College campus. The program provides a relaxed yet stimulating environment for students
to explore their creative interests.

Throughout the United States, the Young Writers' Camp offer students a unique opportunity to learn about the craft of writing by participating in all aspects of the writing process.
Applications for the Young Writers’ Camp will be accepted through June 15.
