Basic Chalk & Wire Workshop
The basic Chalk & Wire workshop is designed to assist both those who are using Chalk & Wire for the first time for a specific class, as well as for those who need to learn the process for Student Teaching at Rhode Island College. Workshops are specifically designed for both students and faculty. Students will learn how to create, share, and submit a portfolio. Faculty members will learn how to access the site and assess work as both an internal and external assessor. Both kinds of workshops will also touch on the process for their respective other half.
The next round of Basic workshops will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday, August 28th, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Horace Mann 182
Wednesday, August 29th, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM, Horace Mann 182
Thursday, August 30th, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM, Horace Mann 182
Please note that this round of workshops will tailor to those acting as college supervisors for student teaching. Please email chalkandwire@ric.edu to reserve a spot. Reservations are not required to attend, but are encouraged. Only one session is necessary.
Creating a Table of Contents and Rubric
This workshop is designed to teach faculty how to create a Table of Contents and an Assessment Rubric. These elements are extremely important in Chalk & Wire, and they allow students to properly upload work for assessment.
There are currently no workshops scheduled. Please contact technical support for more information.
