How to Use i>clickers

User Support Services is offering a How to Use i>clickers workshop. This workshop will show you how to setup and incorporate the i>clickers in your class. At the end of the workshop, you will be able setup your i>clicker folder, start a new session, control the session with your instructor clicker, start/stop questions and display/hide results, ask anonymous questions, sync student clicker to the online i>clicker database, and generate and read the HMTL reports. Windows Live Movie Maker

User Support Services offers a Windows Live Movie Maker workshop. This workshop will show you how to place images and video into the Storyboard. You will learn how to add transitions, effects, titles, captions, open/closed credits, animation. You will also learn how to split your video & music and how to finalize your video to share with others. If you are interested in attending this workshop, please email ittraining@ric.edu.

SMART Sync (Monitor and Control Your Students' Computers)

User Support Services offers a SMART Sync workshop. SMART Sync is a lab management software which will allow you to monitor and control your students' computers using the Thumbnails view, which displays real time images of your students' desktops. You will also learn how take control of a student's desktop, block internet access, block the use of specific applications, broadcast your desktop, and more. Introduction to Camtasia

User Support Services offers an Introduction to Camtasia workshop. Camtasia is a software application for Windows and Macs that allows you to capture the audio and video output of your computer. You can also import files recorded with Jing and edit them with Camtasia. Are you looking for a way to provide your students with a quick walk through video on your Blackboard course, then this course is definitely for you! This workshop will teach you how to record a particular task on your computer screen and then edit that video and audio within Camtasia Studio. Getting Started with Audacity

User Support Services will offer a workshop "ntroduction to Audacity" on Wednesday, December 8th from 1-3pm in Gaige 165. This workshop will show you how use this free audio editor and recorder for Windows and MAC. At the end of the workshop, you will be record an audio file using different types of mics and have a basic knowledge some of the audacity tools and techniques. Excel 2013 - Getting Started

User Support Services offers the Excel 2013 - Getting Started workshop. You will learn how to navigate throughout a worksheet, enter labels and values, select cell ranges, insert simple formulas, and edit worksheet data. PowerPoint 2013 - How to Embed Narration and Audio Files

User Support Services offers a How to Embed Narration in Your PowerPoint 2013 Slides workshop. This workshop will teach you how to use the Record Narration feature in PowerPoint 2013. You will learn how to record narration for each slide so your students will automatically hear your recorded narration when they launch your PowerPoint presentation.
