This 20 page, paperback bookley is for families of children who are beginning the transition from Early Intervention to Early Childhood Education. Focused on information and advocacy skills, it helps families through the process with definitions, timelines, and useful strategies to secure good outcomes for their children.

Early Childhood Transition Passport 3.8 Mb (PDF)
The Early Childhood Transition Passport helps families and early childhood providers exchange important information about children as they transition to new settings. The Passport documents children's likes and dislikes, favorite foods, and activities, and things that affect their emotions and behavior. The Passport can be completed by a family member, provider, or both. The Passport is recommended for use with all children in a classroom or child care setting.

Training:

Introduction to Early Intervention - This introductory training covers topics critical to understanding the Early Intervention community in Rhode Island, including the values embedded in the EI system and the federal and state laws which serve as the foundation for EI services. The training addresses core competencies related to the components of the EI system. The course is offered twice a year. Click the Training & Events link (below) for upcoming offerings.
