The Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts is an exceptional facility that supports the college's music, theatre, and dance programs and hosts a variety of professional performing artists and community events. Performance facilities include the 422-seat Sapinsley Hall, the Forman Theatre, the Melcer Dance Studio and the Little Theatre. There is also a large scenery shop where technical theatre students design and construct sets for performances, rehearsal space, and a MIDI piano lab. The polished granite columns at the main entrance of the Center were salvaged and restored from the college's original 1898 Normal School Building, formerly located in downtown Providence.
