RIC Promising Practices conference to feature Tricia Rose Nov. 7
Tricia Rose, nationally renowned scholar and commentator, will provide the keynote address at RIC 12th Annual Promising Practices Multicultural Conference and Curriculum Fair.
Tricia Rose The event, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Donovan Dining Center, includes two workshop sessions on a wide variety of subjects, a curriculum resource fair, lunch, and Rose’s keynote address, “Pain, Passion and Possibility: Inspired Teaching and Difficult Subjects.”
Rose has recently appeared on the “Rachel Maddow Show” and is a sought-after commentator.
The Curriculum Resource Fair is a multi-media event offering a variety of resources for educators serving an increasingly diverse student population.
Promising Practices has played a key role in defining multi-cultural and diverse education in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
