Securities & Exchange 2014 Fall Student Honors Program - Legal
The Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals to join its Student Honors Program at locations nationwide in Fall 2014. The Student Honors Program targets students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program (JD/MDB or LL.M.). in an accredited qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. (Applicants who do not meet the definition of "student" will not be considered).
The Student Honors Program is a ten-week opportunity for law students to become acquainted with the regulation of the securities market and the activities of the Commission.
The 2014 Student Honors Fall Program will begin on September 8, 2014.
Honor Students may work full-time or part-time schedules.

AF Palace Acquire Intern (PAQ) - Scientist & Engineer - Computer Science Nationwide Vacancy Announcement
The US Air Force's PALACE Acquire Program (PAQ) was established to heighten the United States Air Force’s ability to maintain the leading edge in today’s technology-intensive environment by hiring dynamic, creative and innovative scientists and engineers.
This announcement opened February 5 and closes on July 31, 2014.
The Scientists and Engineering PAQ program offers qualified BS graduates a well-planned 3-year development and training program which includes one year of graduate studies in a technology-related ield. The first and third years of this unique training and developmental program involve work experience, while the second year is dedicated to full-time, paid graduate studies. Qualified MS or BS degrees supplemented by one year of professional engineering or science experience may also be considered and, if selected, placed in a two year on-the-job training program.

Gain Paid Professional Experience and See the World
CIEE’s Teach Abroad programs offer a unique opportunity for participants to build CVs and hone leadership skills while experiencing new parts of the world.
Choose to teach in one of nine locations: Chile, China, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam. Depending on the program, you’ll serve as a lead or assistant teacher and receive compensation on which to live comfortably and travel. CIEE will provide helpful details about your placement prior to departure, as well as U.S.-based and in-country support throughout your teaching contract.
This year, the program has been enhanced with an in-country professional development seminar, featuring a keynote session on intercultural competence. These sessions, combined with continued reflection points over the course of the year, support participants’ professional development throughout the program. This professional focus will prepare you for the international experience as well as for future professional endeavors.

Study Abroad in China
Dr. Shani Carter (RIC Management and Marketing Department) will lead a delegation of students to Beijing, China in May, 2014 for the U.S. - China Student Summit.
The Summit is a two-day experience where you will meet with other university students from the U.S. and China and explore the relationship between our two countries. It is the capstone of a 10-day travel experience, where you will also visit notable sites and landmarks in Shanghai and Beijing.
At the Summit, and during and following our visit to China, you will:
- Hear from notable Chinese and U.S. government and education officials
- Participate in one-on-one interactions with your Chinese peers
- Explore language, culture, politics, and business in this incredibly important country
- Have the opportunity to earn college credit
- Have the option to extend your stay to take classes at Peking University or participate in an internship with a Chinese company
The U.S.-China Student Summit is sponsored by WorldStrides Capstone programs, a Strategic Partner and the Exclusive Educational Travel Partner of the 100,000 Strong Foundation. The 100,000 Strong Foundation, launched in January 2013 by then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is an offshoot of the U.S. Department of State’s “100,000 Strong Initiative,” which seeks to realize President Barack Obama’s call for 100,000 Americans to study in China by the end of 2014.
