The Historical Studies Certificate in Graduate Studies offers anyone with a baccalaureate degree the opportunity to study history at the graduate level.

Who is this for?

The Historical Studies Certificate in Graduate Studies serves those students interested in expanding their historical knowledge or acquiring advanced degree credits, which may be applied at a later date to a masters program.

History M.A. Click to learn who this is for

The History MA through its thesis or seminar plan offers students graduate level historical study, which includes in part independent research and analytical writing experiences culminating in a masters degree.

Who is this for?

Students with a bachelor’s degree that includes at least 24 credits of history (excluding a Western Civilization course or its equivalent) may enroll in the program, which is designed not only to enhance historical knowledge, but also research and analytical and writing skills.

Public History C.G.S. Click to learn who this is for

The Public History Certificate in Graduate Studies offers advanced level field research and coursework in the public history arena, where students among other work participate in internships at historic sites in and around Rhode Island.

Who is this for?

The Public History Certificate in Graduate Studies serves those students with undergraduate degrees in history and those with workplace experience in the field.
