Department of History Undergraduate Programs

RIC History student and state house tour guide Marisa Calise

In addition to acquiring an invaluable perspective on world affairs, undergraduate history majors become skilled in critical reading, organization, writing and analysis. RIC offers a B.A. degree in history, along with a minor in history or public history; and a Certificate of Undergraduate Study (C.U.S.) in public history. Students who major in history may also pursue secondary education teacher certification. For more information, visit the Secondary Education B.A. website.
